Scope of Services

Carrying out Design, Development, Management and Implementation:

  • Internet Line (MyREN/Unifi etc)
  • Internet Safety System & Firewall
  • Light Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) / Active Directory (AD) / Single Sign On (SSO)
  • Domain Name Services (DNS)
  • Antivirus Gateway (AVGW)
  • Simple Mail Transfer Protocol Gateway (SMTPGW)
  • Virtual Private Network (VPN)
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF)
  • Network Operation Center (NOC)
  • Security Posture Assessment (SPA)

ICT Security Section

  • Ensure the security of computers and servers in the local network (LAN) and the University's external network (WAN) from external threats or hackers.
  • Develop, implement and operate the University's ICT security monitoring which includes data centers, databases, applications, networks, telecommunications and access control over University information to meet security requirements and operate optimally.
  • Carry out an assessment to ensure the level of ICT security and take remedial or strengthening actions to improve the security level of the ICT infrastructure so that incidents can be avoided.

Command Centre Section

  • Perform monitoring of Internet infrastructure, Firewall, ICT Security, Network, Server, Database and Critical Systems of UTHM.
  • Perform technical support for all monitored infrastructure problems.
